Cebuano cyclists shine in Guimaras

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano pedal-pushers showcased their wares well to rake in medals in the Manggahan Bikefest the other day in Guimaras Island.

Led by Jhunvie Pagnanawon, the Cebuanos swept the top honors in the 120-kilometer road race.

Pagnanawon edged his brother Jaybop for the top spot as Elmer Navarro landed third.

Motocross race turned cyclist Donkey Sanchez also delivered gold medal after dominating the 30-40 year-old category, while fellow Cebuano Jun Duron placed third.

Meanwhile,  Jhunvie and Jaybop’s father Rolando Pagnanawon, former Tour ng Pilipinas champion, salvaged a silver medal in the masters 56-above class during the 10th MK-FCAAF Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day Bike Challenge in Manila. — (FREEMAN)
