Megabond rules A+EBA's 1st Corporate Cup

CEBU, Philippines – Megabond Aluminum Cladding completed a two-game sweep of Dorma via another 56-55 thriller in Game 2 of their best-of-three finals to clinch the championship of the Architects+Engineers Basketball Association's 1st Corporate Cup over the weekend at the University of San Carlos-Main gym.

Loreneil Tequin again powered Megabond to victory with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Malvin Malicdem chipped in 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and as many steals.

Tequin was the hands down choice as Finals MVP with an average of 17.5 points, seven rebounds, 2.5 steals and one block per game.

Megabond toned down offensively after closing the first half with a 13-point lead, 33-20, but weathered a daring endgame fightback by Dorma to escape with a hairline win.
