Monterey School dribblers to represent Talisay City in CVIRAA

CEBU, Philippines – Young Monterey School cagers get to represent Talisay City once again in the basketball event of the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association Regional Meet set January next year in Naga, Cebu.

Monterey School defended their elementary division title with an 82-77 victory over District 1 selection during the Talisay City Division Sports Meet 2015.

The solid Monterey squad represented District 2 with former UV Lancer Ronald Bucao as the head coach and assisted by Jun-Jun and Tata Abalos.

Monterey already defeated District 1 in the tournament opener, but the latter bounced back by outsmarting District 3 to forge another showdown with Monterey.

With the full support of Monterey School directress Raquel Del Monte along with Dennis Del Monte, the team delivered the gold medal and grabbed a chance to represent Talisay City in the regional multi-sports event. (FREEMAN)
