TCC swimmers haul 9 golds in PNG
CEBU, Philippines – The spirited tankers of Team Cebu City raked in nine golds, six silvers and a bronze in swimming event of the 2015 Philippine National Games-Visayas leg yesterday in Antique.
Michael Ichiro Kong led the charge with three golds via the 400m backstroke, 200m butterfly, and 400m freestyle.
Trina Caneda handed over two golds through the 400m freestyle and 200m backstroke.
Fritz Tamara and Shane Allyne Pareja donated golds in the 100m freestyle and 50m breast stroke, respectively.
TCC also won a double gold in the 4x50m medley relay behind the efforts of Dacaldacal, Fritz Tamara, Michael Ichiro Kong, and Neil Enrico Micarsos in the boys division, and Romylin Nina Ignacio, Pareja, Caneda and Beth May Arellano in the distaff side.
Ignacio added two silvers, while Neil Enrico Micarsos, Elvie Salvo and Kristy Carmel Pardo bagged one silver each. John Dacaldacal had one bronze. (FREEMAN)
