6 Cebuano jins to strut ware in S. Korea
CEBU, Philippines - Six Cebuanos led by Rinna Babanto will join the national team that will compete in the ongoing Korean Open Taekwondo Championships and World Hanmadang Festival in Chuncheon City, Gangwon-do, South Korean.
Aside from the multi-titled Babanto, two other Cebuano junior bets for the poomsae are newcomer Robygeile Lee and Moises Bullicer.
Babanto will also be competing on a freestyle team event in the World Hanmadang.
The PHL team has a total of 10 senior and juniors combined entries in poomsae.
Three other Cebu jins, Nica Garces, Mayn Coran and Luiji Estrada will compete in the kyurugi or sparring event.
The country’s bets will be dealing with more than 50 countries for this twin event accordingly including Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Iran, China, Japan and host Korea. (FREEMAN)
