CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano mixed martial artist Cary 'The Prince' Bullos vows to score his first win in ONE Championship as he battles Malaysian Ev Ting tonight at the Stadium Putra in Kuala, Lumpur Malaysia.
This is the second stint of Bullos in Asia's largest MMA tournament. In his first attempt, he suffered a heartbreaking defeat by submission to American Major Overall on November 7 last year in Singapore.
"Another fight and another chance for me to finally get it (the win)," said the 31-year-old Bullos from SelDef MMA in Lapu-Lapu City. “Hopefully I can execute my game plan so that I can win it not only for myself but for the Cebuanos.”
Bullos will try to become the first Cebuano fighter to score a win in ONE FC. Former pro boxer Joseph Omana and Vaugh Donayre have also fought in ONE Championship but both failed.
Bullos, the reigning Universal Reality Combat Championship Visayas bantamweight champion, holds a 7-2 win-loss record, while Ting spots an 8-2 card.
Aside from Bullos, another Filipino warrior Ramon Gonzales from Mindanao will face Chan Rothana of Cambodia.
In the main event, Brazilian Adriano Mores will try to retain his ONE Championship flyweight title against dangerous Japanese striker Riku Shibuya. (FREEMAN)
