CEBU, Philippines – It's all systems go for the inaugural staging of the Bro Rettore Football Festival on September 13 and 14 in Don Bosco Technological Center in Punta Princess, this city.
Bro.Silvano Rettore is a religious brother of the Salesians of Don Bosco who tirelessly dedicated his life in helping these poor young people by heading and establishing the DBTC vocational training center for a long time.
In an effort to continue what Bro.Retorre has started, the organizers decided to organize a football tournament as a fundraising event.
The proceeds will be for the benefit of underprivileged out-of-school youth to help them acquire technical skills at the same time be molded into better citizens under DBTC.
The categories to be contested in are the mixed under-9 and 11, under-13, 15 and 18 all-boys, 38-up men’s open, girls’ under-18 and ladies open.
Teams are allowed a maximum of 15 players. Organizers of the event are limiting the tournament to 20 teams or most of the categories except in the 38-above and girls'18 which is only accommodating eight teams total and 10 teams maximum for the ladies open.
