CEBU, Philippines - Chandran Rama and Vic Arnuco hold the provisional lead midway through the penultimate day of The View Invitational at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City.
Players for the afternoon schedule were still on the course during press time.
Rama and Arnuco combined for 158 points on rounds of 73 and 85 points in this member-guest tournament that uses the Modified Stableford Scoring System.
On their first day, Rama fired five-under-par 41 points and then came up with the same output on his second day. Arnuco had 32 points on the first day but erupted for eight under-par-44 points on the second round.

Running second is the tandem of Lor Alburo and Albert Golez with a total of 150 points on rounds of 75 and 75. Alburo made 36 and 39 while Golez shot 39 and 36.
Charlie Gaite and Alexander Reyes are tied for third with Jude Demiar and Miguel Martinez with 146 points apiece.
Gaite (41-39) and Reyes (36-30) fired rounds of 77 and 69. Demiar (35-36) and Martinez (39-36) had rounds of 74 and 72.
Rounding up the top five is the pair of Rey Sanchez and Major General Romeo Poquiz with a score of even-par 144 points. Sanchez fired rounds of 35 and 35 while Poquiz made 37 and 37.
Participating teams in the tournament will be classified under three handicap categories based on the average handicap of the team members.
The total number of participants will be equally divided into three categories.
Teams whose total age is not less than 120 years old and no player is younger than 55 years old will be grouped in the seniors’ division.
There will be specially-made plaques for the teams with the overall lowest gross and overall lowest net for the regular and the seniors’ classes. There will also be prizes for the top three teams of the three handicap categories as well as the two runner-up teams for the seniors’ class.
The awards ceremony of the tournament mainly backed by Hei Yang Sports will be held on Sunday evening at the AVGCC ballroom.
At stake as hole-in-one prizes are a brand new Foton pick-up, a residential lot from Santa Lucia Realty, a golf cart from Club Car, a Sunriser motorcycle from Norkis Trading, a set of Cobra irons from Dynamic Sports, a trip to Singapore from Marist Royal Holidays, first bet coupons from Pagcor, a trip to Korea from Air Busan, an atmospheric water generator from San Gabriel Metal Arts, and a weekend stay at Moevenpick Hotel.
A Skygo motorcycle is also at stake for an eagle on any of the par-4 holes.
