CEBU, Philippines - The highly-awaited return of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series kicks off today, with over a hundred riders to compete in the world-class racetrack in Barangay Calambua, San Remigio.
Billed as the 15th Calambua Motocross Cup, the six-leg motocross series is organized by businessman-sportsman and Calambua Barangay Captain Lou Ornopia.
Aside from reviving the competitiveness of local riders, the said series also symbolizes the rise of Calambua after being badly affected by super typhoon Yolanda last year.
The motocross race also serves as a sidelight of Calambua’s annual fiesta in honor of beloved patron San Vicente Ferrer.
The top riders to watch out for are from Kopiko Racing Team, Quickflight Racing, Sel J, NR Racing, Team Dinagat, and Team Bubuli. There will also be entries from Dumaguete, Davao and Luzon.
The categories to be contested mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, novice, intermediate, expert and pro open. (FREEMAN)
