CEBU, Philippines - A wrestling seminar will take place in conjunction with the formal opening of the annual Yaw-Yan Ardigma Martial Arts Federation, Inc. Summer Clinic today at the Yaw-Yan Headquarters situated at the fourth floor of Coast Pacific Downtown Center just across the UC-Main Campus along Sanciangko Street, this city.
“Everything is ready. We already have a good number of students for the clinic, but we are still accepting enrollees,â€said Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu CEO/Founder and Vis-Min director Master Benigno "Ekin" R. Caniga, Jr. “Instead of spending their time this vacation playing computer games or worse being involved in vices, it would be good if they enroll in this clinic and learn discipline and self-defense through martial arts.â€
The courses offered in the month-long camp include arnis, boxing fitness, Yaw-Yan combat (self-defense), Yaw-Yan Ardigma system and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
The second level of training, on the other hand, is set to start on May 2.
The summer clinic is open to kids as young as four years old. Registration is still going on at the Yaw-Yan ArDigma gym. For further information, interested parties may contact 0906-5120888 or log on to www.yaw-yanardigma.com.
A two-day wrestling seminar will also start today at the Yaw-Yan Gym. It will be spearheaded by former Philippine Team coach Luis Ansag, who is also a special awardee during the most recent Sportswriters Association of Cebu (SAC) Annual Awards
The seminar/workshop is open to MMA fighters and practitioners from other martial arts club. Registration fee is pegged at P1,500 inclusive of a certificate of participation. (FREEMAN)
