Triathlon leveling set for March 22 and 29

CEBU, Philippines - Two triathlon leveling session will be conducted on March 22 and 29 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Organized by Sugbutriathlon, the two leveling sessions will be done prior to the second leg of the Cebu Tri Team Championship (CTTC) series on April 13 in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island.

Those who will attend the leveling will not regret as they will boost their chances of a podium finish, while triathletes who are not taking part in a leveling session in this series will have to be placed under class A, the group were the top triathletes are registered. The standard division of the CTTC is classified by levels and not by age-groups.

The leveling is only for the standard division as the sprint event is open for everyone while the tri kids’ action will be according to age brackets including 8-under, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15 year-old category.

Interested parties may register online through www.sugbutriathlon.com or at Rudy Project at the Ayala Center-Cebu.

A discounted rate for the entry fee is offered to athletes who will register until March 14 with the standard distance at P2,000, P1,800 for sprint and P1,500 for the kiddie tri. Triathletes will have to pay P500 more of the early birds rate starting March 15 to April 4.

Registration fee includes an event Threeofme tritop, transition bag, post-race lunch, race bibs and bike numbers. (FREEMAN)
