Servania easily destroys foe in Sinulog boxing

CEBU, Philippines - Rolando ‘Momoy’ Servania of the ALA Boxing Gym made a shortwork of his opponent, scoring a first round stoppage of Dingdong ‘Fantasy Warrior’ Quiñones in the main event of  ALA Boxing and Fitness Gym's "Sinulog Boxing at the Mall" the other night at the Gaisano Countrymall carpark in Brgy. Trying to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, WBO Intercontinental super bantamweight champion Genesis "Azukal" Servania, Rolando displayed fast hands and devastating power against the hapless Quiñones.

After wearing down his foe with body shots, Servania landed a well-timed uppercut to the chin that sent Quiñones down at the seat of his pants for good at 2:12 of the opening session.

Servania, thus, improved his clean record to 6-0 now spiked with 2KOs, while Quiñones suffered his eight defeat in 11 prol fights.

In the supporting bout, Cuban Reymi Castellano Aleye (3-0, 1KO) made an impression fighting for the first time before Cebuano fans with his unanimous decision win over Rodel Wenceslao (7-6, 2KOs).

In the other results, Jonas Sultan (4-1, 2KOs) triumphed over Marlon Macayan (1-2) by unanimous decision, while Jess Rhey Waminal (1-0, 1KO) stopped Jerome Baja (1-7) in the second round.   (FREEMAN)
