CEBU, Philippines - Veteran Cebuana runner Christy Sevilleno-Tutor and little-known Jiboy Magbulogtong topped their respective classes in the premier division of the Ignatian Hero Run at the open grounds of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) yesterday.
Sevilleno registered the fastest time of 46 minutes and seven seconds to rule the 10K women’s open followed by Sandra Sollano (46:08) and Malou Shimizu (51:42)
Magbulogtong lorded it over in the men’s division with the time of 36 minutes and 47 seconds. Desiderio Engbino finished a distant second with 37:31, while Joe Vacan took the third place honors in 37:48.
Nice Serelo dominated the women’s 5K action in 28:46, followed by Almelyn Rosales who timed 29:10, while Desiree Salas settled for third at 29:14.
In the men’s 5K, Joland Olmilla crossed the finish line first with the time of 17:59. Regie Mabologtong wound up second in 18:18.
Triathlete Yuan Chiongbian posted the best time in the 3K category with 21:26, while fellow triathlete Craig Uy placed second with 13:59 and Kim Yosong landed third wth 14:59 clocking. (FREEMAN)
