CEBU, Philippines - Vic Arnuco and Jack Huang led the winners of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Centennial + 10 Memorial Golf Tournament that was held Thursday at the Cebu Country Club.
Arnuco bagged the lowest gross honors shooting four-over-par 32 points in the Stableford Scoring System beating Nonoy Tirol in the countback.
Huang stood tallest both literally and figuratively in the battle for the lowest net honors as he fired nine-under-par 45 points.
In the team event, Skygo bagged the title in the premiere diamond division with a total of 148 points in the four-to-play, all-to-count format.
Skygo was led by Erwin Siao with 42 points. His teammates were Alvin Alazas with 39, Mario King with 34, and Dr. Peter Mancao with 33.
Runner-up honors for the Diamond division went to ANSECA with 143 points. The team was composed of Mar Selma (37), Jun Mendoza (37), Dr. Rey Dira (36), and Alex Yeo (33).
Filmon Hardware ruled the Emerald division with 155 points after pulling past Alraf Construction in the countback.
Filmon was led by Prudgie Gesta with 41 points, who was supported by Red Carranza with 39, Clement Go with 38, and Cliff Empiso with 37.
Zamboanga-based Alraf also finished with 55 points. The team members were Vic Arnuco (44), Nelson Rosales (42), Faisal Hasiman (37), and Masahisa Kawakami (32). The team took the runner-up honors.
Kolinski Phosphate Mining ran away with the crown in the Ruby division firing a team total of 153 points.
The team was led by the top man of the mining company, Vince Colina who scored 43 points. The other members of the team were Atty. Julius Neri, Sr. with 39, Atty. Baldomero Estenzo with 38, and Henry Casuga with 33.
Runner-up honors went to Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. with 140 points. Jack Huang led the team with 45 points and his teammates were Max Tan (36), Dr. Jojo Flordelis (36), and Cesar Libi (23).
A Haojue motorcycle from Norkis Group of Companies was awarded to Bernard Loh, who scored an eagle on the par-5 16th hole.
Loh said that he punched his shot from about 110 yards on a sidehill lie from the left side and the ball rolled past a greenside bunker, went up the green, and then disappeared into the cup. (PR from www.fullpointcebu.com)
