CEBU, Philippines - “Prince†Albert Pagara (17-0, 12KOs) of the ALA Stable hopes to keep his unbeaten record intact when he takes on Indonesian veteran Ruben Manakane (12-11, 8KOs) in the main event of the second edition of 'IDOL' television boxing series on November 15 at the Maasin City gymnasium.
The 19-year-old Pagara is out to prove that he is worthy to be one of the new generations of ring stars that aim to become the country’s next world champion as he faces a tough obstacle in the battle-tested Manakane.
Albert, the younger brother of light welterweight star Jason “El Niño†Pagara, pulled of a masterful second round knockout of Thai Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruthin in his previous bout last July 13 at the Solaire Resort Hotel and Casino in Parañaque City.
In the supporting bouts, another undefeated ALA prospect Juren Labordo (11-0, 7KOs) will slug it out with Indonesian Demsey Manufoe (8-2, 6KOs) in a ten rounder bout.
