SHAABAA Season 18 kicks off today at MEA

CEBU, Philippines - Ten teams will slug it out for hardcourt supremacy as the 18th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season comes off the wraps this afternoon at the newly-built Magis Eagles Arena inside the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) campus in Brgy. Canduman, Mandaue City.

Defending champion Cebu Landmasters banners the list of contending squads that also include  Golberry Suites, RDAK Transporter, Milco Fresh Eggs, Insular Square, Alberto's Pizza, Gaisano Capital, San Remigio Aguilas, San Jose Bakeshop, and A-Team.

Three games are being scheduled for today. The order of play will be drawn by lots under the supervision of SHAABAA incumbent president Marcelino Co and league commissioner Robert "Bobby Knight" Inoferio.

Prior to the exciting hoop action, a simple opening ceremony will take place to be graced by SHS-AdC President Manny Uy, SJ, who is also the incoming president of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI). He will formally assume his post when the CESAFI Season 13 opens.
