CEPCA 16-under rapid chess tilt this weekend

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (CEPCA) will hold a rapid tournament for 16-under players, both boys and girls, this weeekend at the Deep Blue Cafe in SM City-Cebu.

The two-day, 7-round Swiss system competition will promtly start at 10:30 am on July 6.

Trophies for the champions and cash prizes for the top five placers in both categories will be given away by benevolent CEPCA members.

Also, the top three finishers will qualify for the Batang Pinoy National Finals scheduled later this year, according to FIDE Arbiter Marvin Ruelan.
