Bulldogs rule LABA season-opening conference

CEBU, Philippines - Team Bulldogs barked their way to a masterful 98-84 victory over Nolbes to clinch the championship of the season-opening conference of the 2013 Los Amigos Basketball Association (LABA) tournament recently at the Banilad Sports Complex.

LABA Vice President Gilbert Sebandal and Richard Jordan each scored 12 points even as three other players cashed in double figures for Bulldogs, who were in complete command of the match from start to finish on the way to come up with a 14-point romp. Team owner Arnold Pestaño paced Nolbes also with a dozen markers.

LABA President Cris Ubas was on hand to award the championship trophy to Team Bulldogs. He also extended his profound gratitude to all the LABA members led by his two vice presidents in Lou Ornopia and Sebandal who have largely contributed to the success of their maiden event this year.

There's practically no rest for the LABA cagers as they are holding their regular practice from 6 to 10m pm on Mondays and Wednesdays preparatory for their next hardcourt action this July.
