VISSA swimfest to feature masters division

CEBU, Philippines - Veteran swimmers have something to look forward to as the masters category has been added to the 19th VISSA Swimming Competition set on June 1-2 at Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Brgy. Canduman, Mandaue City.

The masters division features three age-brackets:24-29, 30-39 and 40-above. The  events that will be contested are the 50-meter butterfly, 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.

“This would be very exciting becaue swimmers who made waves during their prime will once again have a chance to show their stuff," said Jess Arriola, one of the event organizers.

The other categories to be competed in the two-day tilt are the novice and age-group for the elementary, high school and tertiary tankers.

Registration fee is pegged at P500 inclusive of a souvenir shirt. The payment for the entry fees begins on May 31 from 3 to 6 pm at SHS-AdC swimming pool.
