CEBU, Philippines - Mary Joy Tabal and Kenyan James Mebei topped their respective divisions during the 'Dash For A Scholar', a charity run yesterday at Parkmall grounds in Mandaue City.
Tabal bagged the women's 12k crown with the time of 47 minutes and 57 seconds.
Lovely Andrin placed second followed by Christy Sevilleno-Tutor. They both clocked in 54 minutes and 54 seconds, while Keisha Mae Delechos and Amale Mendezona-Jopson occupied the fourth and fifth spots with the time of 55:54 and 58:54, respectively.
In the men's side, Mebei registered the fastest time of 41 minutes and 45 seconds. Fellow Kenyan runner Abraham Missos wound up second in 41:49 followed by Jobert Carolino (43:25), Lelei Elliud (45:07) and Alvirg Busa (45:46).
Cherry Andrin topped the women's 6K battle in 25 minutes and 33 seconds. Her sister Jhean copped the second place honors in 26:53, while Cara Cosep ended up third in 27:22.
In the men's action, Douglas Mwiti came out first with a 20:15 clocking followed by Robert Daang (20:47) and Kenyan Francis Kakui (21:03).
The top three 3K finishers were Mary Joy Loberanis (12:12), Irish Delechos (13:19) and Rodilyn Cacafranca (13:41) in the women's bracket and Bonifacio Monjas (9:48), Ronnie Andrin (10:55) and Digoy Polistico (11:38) in the men's side. (FREEMAN)
