Lion Tiger zaps Raphael’s Café in Enervon Partner’s Cup hoop

Gabby G. Malagar - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Lion Tiger-USPF Panthers prolonged the agony of Raphael's Cafe after coming up with an 83-68 demolition of the USJ-R Jaguars-manned squad in the second round of elimination in the Enervon CESAFI Partner's Cup men's basketball tournament last Tuesday night at the Cebu Colisuem.

Joseph Sedurifa banged in 22 points as Lion Tiger improved its win-loss record to 2-4, while dealing Raphael's Cafe its sixth consecutive loss.

No player from Raphael's Cafe was able to put up double figures as James Regalado and Wilkins Sanchez were held to only nine points each for the listless squad.

So dominant Lion Tiger was that is maintained at least a 20-point lead in the entire second half and there were no indications that Raphael's Cafe would pull any upset.

Meanwhile, the Prime Asia Lending-UV Lancers shoot for their seventh victory when they collide against  Lion Tiger today at 5:45 pm.

Prime Asia, which tamed Lion Tiger in the first round, is headed for another clean sweep as it easily dumped all foes that stand in its way.

Before the Prime Asia-Lion Tiger duel, the Gaisano Capital South-UC Webmasters will start their second round campaign as they take on the Cebu Landmasters-USC Warriors at 4 pm.
