San Marino scores second win in Enervon Partner’s Cup hoop

CEBU, Philippines - San Marino Tuna/CIT-U Wildcats outgunned Lion Tiger Katol-USPF Panthers, 91-82, for their first back-to-back wins in the Enervon CESAFI Partner's Cup 2013 men’s basketball tournament last night at the Cebu Coliseum.

 Franklyn Batiquin sank three clutch triples in the final period, the first one gave San Marino the lead, 68-66, for good. He knocked in two more treys before Kendrick Brigoli hit his own 3-pointer as they suddenly saw their lead balloon to 15 points, 87-72, with only three minutes left to play.

It was  Allan Dimco, however, who made the biggest impact for San Marino finishing with a game-high 25 points.

Joshua de la Cerna chipped in 10 markers for San Marino, which improved its win-loss record top 2-1.

Lion Tiger actually dictated the pace of the match in the early goings, but lost fire in the second period resulting into a 38-47 deficit at halftime.

Art Camello was the lone double-digit scorer with 10 points for Lion Tiger, which crashed to its second straight defeat.
