CEBU, Philippines - The F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) selection and Petracorta Customs Brokerage subdued separate rivals to stay unbeaten in three games, while Alin Brokers stunned Avenido Customs Brokers, 77-70, in the 2nd Cebu International Port Users (CIPU) basketball tournament at the Sawang Calero covered court.
The FYA Selection pulled a hard-earned 57-50 victory over the listless Gonzales Brokers, while the Petracorta Brokers proved too much to handle for the Mac Nels Forwarders, 88-70.
FYA and Petracorta, thumbs upped their clean records to 3-0, while Mac Nels dropped to 2-1.
Brothers Tata and Nico Laborte paced FYA with 16 and 10 points, respectively, while Takloy Moral topscored with 18 points and the Petracorta cousins Joey and Nilo chipped in 15 points combined for the team of Limasawa Mayor Melchor Petracorta.
It was Ryan Villomo who topped Alin's scoring chart with 19 points.
