CEBU, Philippines - Three elite fighters from Yaw-Yan Cebu ArDigma are primed and ready to showcase their skills in the keenly-awaited Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) fight card on January 19 at the J Centre Mall Convention Hall along A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City.
Yaw-Yaw Cebu ArDigma Founder and CEO Master Benigno ‘Ekin’ R. Caniga, Jr. said the three - Roel ‘Akiyama’ Rosauro, Vaughn ‘The Spawn’ Donayre, and Kyle ‘Hurricane’ Co - all came from the first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) academy in Cebu he established.
Rosauro, who scored a smashing second round TKO of Israel Gomez during the 'Ground and Pound VI' in August last year, seeks for his second straight URCC win when he takes on Jemery Quinonero of Davao. In his URCC debut, Rosauro pulled off a first round knockout of Bullet Muay Thai's Arnel Ylanan.
Donayre, fighting out of Deftac Cebu, hopes to stretch his unbeaten streak to four when he faces the veteran Allan Atup of Butuan Extreme MMA.
A Brazilian Jiu-jitsu specialist, Donayre expects an all-out brawl against Atup, who will be banking on his vaunted ground-and-pound style.
Co, for his part, will mix it up with Ervin Musico of Deftac Dumaguete. In his previous match, he demolished Jonamar “Naruto†Macaraya of ATC Kickboxing Club through a ground and pound TKO in the second round. (FREEMAN)
