MANILA, Philippines - The young spikers of Compostela racked up three straight wins to take the group A lead in the kiddies division of the 2012 Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup at the Cebu International Convention Center.
After winning by default over Bantayan, Compostela went on to beat Asturias, 25-24, 25-15 and Alegria, 25-23, 25-7 to stay unbeaten in the quarterfinal round.
Catmon trails Compostela with a clean 2-0 slate. Catmon, which also won by forfeiture over a no-show Bantayan side, claimed Talisay City as its first official victim via a 25-14, 25-14 decision.
