Man faces murder charges for killing 3 over online games

CEBU, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation-Cebu District Office (NBI-CEBDO) filed three counts of murder against a man who killed three people following an argument over online gambling winnings.

Primarily charged in Court is Jimboy Villaester Sontousidad along with two other unidentified cohorts. The three are currently at-large.

Sontousidad and his victims are from all from the different barangays of Daanbantayan town.

The victims of the September 27 shooting incident were Jose Leo Rodrigo, Randolph Jay Rosell and Santos Rey Rosell.

Two days before the shooting, Sontousidad had a heated argument with Rodrigo because allegedly he did not send the P17,000 winnings from the betting game.

Investigators said that the three victims were drinking before their bodies were found with several stab wounds with their heads smashed on the wall.

“Primary suspect, Sontousidad’s presence near the crime scene at about the time that the three victims were killed was concretely established. It was also established that he left the town of Daanbantayan and proceeded his way to Mandaue City in that evening,” part of the complaint reads. (FREEMAN)
