CEBU, Philippines — Acting Cebu City Mayor Garcia told the police to ensure peace and order during the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo on August 25 to 26 at the Cebu City Sports Center.
“Ang akoang focus g’yud karon is really to make sure everything is in order here in the City of Cebu. Mao man g’yud na akong gisaad sa mga tawo,” he told them during the command conference at Camp Sotero Cabahug last Wednesday.
The Pasigarbo will feature 51 contingents featuring different festivals from different cities and municipalities in Cebu Province. Cebu City is also a guest contingent of the event.
Aside from the main venue, Garcia also wants the police to secure the billeting quarters, which the city government will provide.
Last month, Cebu City hosted the Palarong Pambansa that hosted close to 20 delegations featuring the best athletes from different regions in the country.
The Cebu Provincial Government extended help to the Cebu City Government and now it’s the city’s turn to show its gratitude for the former’s support for the Palaro’s success.
This also serves as the return of this battle of festivals to the CCSC after missing two editions due to its unavailability in the past. (CEBU NEWS)
