CEBU, Philippines — Elements of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) arrested a high-value individual and his cohort in Talisay City, Cebu early Sunday.
The suspects are identified as Ray B. Mangubat, alias “Insik,” and Harvey P. Martin. Mangubat, aged 47, resides in Sitio Neighborhood, Brgy. Tabunok, while Martin, aged 18, hails from Purok Manghinatagon, Brgy. Tabunok.
Authorities seized approximately 80 grams of suspected shabu, valued at around P544,000. Additionally, eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were confiscated.
The joint operation involved the members of Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and Talisay City Police Station.
The suspects, who have been handed over to the Talisay City Police Station, are now facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 20021. — /LPM (FREEMAN)
