MANILA, Philippines — A total of 3,418 senior high graduates in Mandaue City’s public schools will be receiving ?2,000 each as the city government has allocated a total of ?6.836 million.
The cash assistance payout will be done in a span of three days starting tomorrow, June 25. The distribution will be led by Mayor Jonas Cortes, Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede, and joined by other city officials.
Tomorrow at 1 p.m., 714 senior high graduates of the Canduman National High School and six graduates of the Mandaue School for the Arts are set to receive their payment at the Canduman National High School gym.
On June 26 at 9 a.m., 51 senior high graduates of the Maguikay National High School, 70 graduates of the Mandaue City Science High School, 24 graduates of the Mandaue City SPED National High School, and 247 graduates of the Paknaan National High School are set to receive their payout at the Mandaue City Central School gym.
On June 28 at 1 p.m. at the Tingub National High School gym, 179 graduates of the Cabancalan National High School and 156 of the Tingub National High School are set to receive the payout.
The same will go for graduates of the Don Gerardo Ouano Memorial National High School, the Labogon National High School, the Jagobiao National High School, the Mandaue City National Comprehensive National High School, and the Subangdaku Vocational Technical School, but only after they have complied with all the requirements needed.
Meanwhile, a Barangay-Wide Purok Federation Assembly was conducted recently in Barangay Umapad wherein issues and concerns in each purok were tackled among the concerned constituents.
It was also agreed during the assembly that a second floor of the Barangay Umapad Gym will be constructed to serve as a parking area.
The assembly was also attended by Councilors Maline Cortes Zafra, Oscar del Castillo, Jen del Mar, Jimmy Lumapas, and Cebu 6th District Board Member Glenn Soco. (CEBU NEWS)
