CEBU, Philippines — Two American male pedophiles were blocked from entering the Philippines, reported the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

72-year-old Kenneth Allen Roedell was barred by airport personnel upon arrival at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport last June 10, according to a statement from the BI last June 21, 2024.

He was “convicted in 2004 for sexually molesting and engaging in lewd and lascivious acts against a 12-year-old victim,” the agency noted.

On June 17, 2024, personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 denied the entry of Danny Albera Rodrigues, 52.

He was identified as a convict for “two counts of sexual assault in the second and third degrees wherein the victims are less than 14 years of age,” the BI noted.

Roedell and Rodrigues were tagged as “registered sex offenders who, under the Philippine immigration act, are deemed excludable aliens due to their conviction for crimes involving moral turpitude,” according to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

The interception of the two convicts was possible through BI’s #Shieldkids campaign, “aimed at locating, arresting, and deporting sexual predators that prey on Filipino children,” he declared. — (FREEMAN)
