CEBU, Philippines — The Mactan-Cebu international Airport Authority kicked off the OPLAN Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa from March 24,2024 to March 31, 2024 as it anticipates the influx of passengers in both domestic and international operations.
The move will be a concerted effort from its operations department, rescue and firefighting division, medical division, airport police division and the public affairs division, the Philippine National Police Aviation Security and GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC).
MCIAA, in coordination with GMCAC, established four Malasakit helpdesks at the arrival and departure areas.
These Malasakit helpdesks are manned 24/7 by the APD, rescue and firefighting division, medical division and public affairs division as well as OJTs from CTU-Main, STI Ormoc, CIT-U and SNMC.
MCIAA chief executive officer and general manager Julius G. Neri Jr. yesterday inspected the OPLAN helpdesks to ensure their proper functions during the Holy Week.
MCIAA also announced that all leaves of absences of security personnel under the divisions are not allowed during the period.
