CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) is grateful for the recognition received by one of its police stations for topping the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) amongst all police stations in the Central Visayas region.
Inayawan Police Station 7 ranked first for its performance rating in October last year, besting the rest of the stations in the region.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Janette Rafter, deputy director for operations of the CCPO, expressed her gratitude to the Cebu City Council for its commendation to the men and women of their organization.
Additionally, she stated that not only does the recognition help them boost the organization’s morale, but it also encourages them to continue doing their jobs to the “highest level of excellence” in their service.
Further, apart from Police Station 7, Rafter cited that other police stations in Cebu City, too, were included in the top 10 just that the Inayawan Police Station was ranked first in UPER.
“On behalf of our City Director, Police Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, we would like to extend our gratefulness and atong pasalamat diha sa atong konseho for recognizing the efforts of all the men and women, especially on this time sa Police Station 7,” Rafter said.
“But again, other than Station 7, ang tanan pud nato nga mga stations, as far as I can remember, for the month of October are on the top 10. So it’s just nga ang Station 7 gyud ang nag number one but again for the whole of the men and women sa Cebu City Police Office on behalf of our city director, keep up the good job and thank you for the effort,” she concluded.
Inayawan Police Station 7 is headed by Police Major Jeciree Basitao, the lone lady police chief in all Cebu City police stations.
UPER is a standardized evaluation tool that assesses the performance rating of all of the Philippine National Police units in the country. (CEBU NEWS)
