CEBU, Philippines — One of the activities lined up in time for Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama’s return from an extended vacation in Australia is a party with street children in the city.
Dubbed as “Pasko sa mga Batang Sugboanon,” the event will be done on December 23 at Plaza Sugbo.
The children’s party for the less fortunate has previously been done as Rama “has a soft spot for children.”
This time around, over 2,000 kids are expected to attend the party as disclosed by the Cebu City Commission For The Welfare and Protection of Children (CCCWPC) via the City’s PIO.
Each barangay has been allocated 15 street children that will be identified by the Cebu City Task Force on Street children.
Mascots from one of the popular fast-food chains in the country are expected to entertain the kids.
Plaza Sugbo will also have party inflatables for the children to enjoy, as well as food carts with kid-favorites like cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream.
Mayor Rama is also expected to give gifts to the street kids. —/ATO (FREEMAN NEWS)
