Japanese consul general ends Cebu tenure October 21

CEBU, Philippines —  Japanese Consul-General Hideki Yamaji has expressed his appreciation to the Cebu media before the end of his term here.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Cebu announced that Consul-General Yamaji “will end his tenure of duty on October 21, 2023.”

As Yamaji ended his duties here, he expressed his respect and appreciation to the Cebu media.

Yamaji has also been very welcoming to the Cebuano media and in return also gets the support they need in its programs and projects, among others here in Cebu in his brief stint.

“The Consulate-General of Japan in Cebu would like to express its utmost respect and appreciation to the Media' Sector in Cebu and the Visayas for the support and cooperation extended to Consul General YAMAJI during his tenure,” part of the statement from Japan’s Consulate Office reads.

Although Yamaji ends his term here, the Consulate- General of Japan in Cebu remains committed to fostering strong bilateral ties and looks forward to continuing fruitful exchanges between Japan and the Visayas region.

Along with this, the Consulate-General of Japan in Cebu continued to forge partnerships with the media sector in Cebu.  (CEBU NEWS)
