CEBU, Philippines — A 50-year-old man was found dead in the mountain barangay of Pung-ol Sibugay, Cebu City yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Cecelio Rosaldo Dabuco, a farmer and a resident of sitio Lamacan of the barangay.
According to a report from Cebu City Ambulance personnel led by Kenneth Parisan, they responded to an alarm that a dead body was found.
When the personnel arrived, they found the lifeless body of Dabuco on the grassy area of his farm with a gunshot wound in his right chest.
According to a report by Police Major Caesar V. Acompanado, the victim was allegedly murdered while tending to his farm.
According to the initial investigation, the victim was also allegedly accused of killing the cow owned by his neighbor who is just his relative.
Prior to that incident, the victim was allegedly involved in several incidents over farm animals that caused quarrels among the residents.
The police are still identifying what type of firearm was being used as Scene of Crime Operations did not find any ejected bullet shell at the crime scene.
“Nagduda mi nga revolver siya kay wa may nakuha ang SOCO nga gun shell,” Acompanado added.
Police personnel of the Malubog Police Station are currently looking for persons of interest as of the moment. — (FREEMAN)
