P60 million building to house Subangdaku police station
CEBU, Philippines — A P60 million worth multi-purpose building which will house a police station will soon rise in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The project is made possible through the initiative of Mandaue City Lone District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon.
The lady legislator, who led the ground breaking ceremony yesterday, said this modern and beautiful edifice when completed would be the first of its kind for a police station in Cebu, if not in the entire Visayas.
In her message during the event, Ouano-Dizon said she felt so happy for PNP Mandaue and it is a great honor for her district office, the Mandaue City government and the Philippine National Police.
Ouano-Dizon said she is confident that with this infrastructure support, the PNP can deliver.
“As an organization, you deserve all the support,” Ouano-Dizon said.
She also thanked the city government led by Mayor Jonas Cortes for always supporting her programs and projects.
She stressed that this is the result of their continued alliance and partnership.
Cortes, for his part, said the building is a living testament of the unity of Mandaue City officials, Office of Ouano-Dizon and the national government agencies, specifically the Department of Public Works and Highways and the PNP.
Ouano-Dizon underscored the city’s progress is largely dependent on having a safe and secured community where businesses thrive.
Police Regional Office-7 deputy regional director, Police Col. Noel Flores, who spoke in behalf of PRO-7 director, Brigadier Gen. Anthony Aberin, thanked Ouano-Dizon and Cortes for their unwavering support and trust to the police organization, and committed to readily assist the needs of the people.
Ouano-Dizon likewise lauded DPWH’s commitment in carrying out the said infrastructure contending that the ground breaking is not only a ceremony but an act of lasting legacy.
The ground breaking ceremony was also attended by Mandaue City Councilors Cesar Cabahug, Andjong Ouano Icalina, Nerissa Soon-Ruiz, Atty. Joel Seno, Malcolm Sanchez, Cynthia Cinco Remedio, Maline Zafra, Oscar del Castillo, Jimmy Lumapas, ABC president Ernie Manatad, Subangdaku barangay councilors, Mandaue City Police Office chief, Col.
