CEBU, Philippines — At least 150 policemen from the Lapu-Lapu-City Office (LCPO) participated in the World Blood Donors Day.
The activity was sponsored by the Lapu-Lapu City Government last Saturday in line with the 62nd celebration of the city’s Charter Day.
The bloodletting was held in Hoops Dome in Barangay Gun-ob in Lapu-Lapu City which was also participated by the Oponganons who responded to the call of Mayor Junard “Ahong’’ Chan to participate in the event.
Police Colonel Elmer Lim, LCPO director, led the donation of blood by its members from the headquarters and police stations.
Others who participated in the event were the uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police Maritime Group 7, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
The activity was also in line with the 5 Focused Agenda of PNP Chief, General Benjamin Acorda Jr. and the 3A’s of Police Brigadier Gen. Anthony Aberin, the director of the Police Regional Office-7
