Rama back in Manila for investment begging

CEBU, Philippines —  Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama is set to return to Manila today to make a follow-up on his investment begging and marketing initiatives.

This time around, however, Rama has not revealed whom he will be meeting.

Rama will only have one protocol officer with him who will also be acting as an information officer, he said.

Aside from that, Rama said he will not be asking for whatever projects they want from the potential investors like what they have done so in the past.

However, the mayor will still present in the meeting his administration’s Singapore-like Cebu City vision.

Rama, however, is expected to get the support of more investors for the building of more medium-rise buildings in the city, as permanent housing for those that will be affected by the recovery of the three-meter easement.

Aside from that, the completion of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) is also among the mayor’s priorities. — GAN (FREEMAN)
