CEBU, Philippines — The 11 minors who were rescued after they were involved in a rumble in Talisay City shall undergo counseling by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The minors were turned over to the respective Gender and Development (GAD) focal person of Barangay Dumlog and Barangay Poblacion after they were rescued for custody.
Talisay City Police Station chief, Police Lt. Col. Randy Caballes, said that at around 3 a.m. Friday, they received a report of a rumble incident involving minors.
The police immediately responded but the minors were no longer in the area when they arrived.
In the course of their investigation, the police were able to identify and locate the minors aged 13 to 16.
They were allegedly members of “Kalmados” and TGS whose groups have been engaged in a squabble.
The police said the incident was just an isolated case which they already had addressed. — GMR (FREEMAN)
