CEBU, Philippines — Over 5,000 more Cebuanos under the South District of Cebu City get to enjoy a better Christmas with the release of their payouts through the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) payout in different venues.
Cebu City South District Representative Edu Rama was able to fulfill his promise to have the payout of the rest of the beneficiaries before Christmas after only close to 500 were able to claim their pay during the first distribution.
Rama personally went to the different sites of the payout to ensure that all beneficiaries had been accommodated.
Each of the beneficiaries received a minimum wage of P435/day for 10 days of work.
Rama also greeted everyone with a Merry Christmas and reminded the beneficiaries to use their money wisely, especially this holiday season.
Aside from that, the neophyte congressman also took the opportunity to announce to the Cebuanos the opening of his satellite office in the south.
Rama’s first satellite office is located in Barangay Tisa.
This satellite office will serve as an extension to the existing district office located at Cebu City Hall. (FREEMAN)
