Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines —  Another round of evaluation of employees is set to take place at the Cebu City Hall, especially for those contracts that are about to expire, City Administrator Suzanne Ardosa announced Monday.

Along with this, Ardosa reminded employees during their flag-raising ceremony to do what they pledged as public servants.

“Dyosnon, makakinaiyahan, isalikway ang mga dili maayo nga buhat ug paningkamutan nga madungagan ang makat-unan aron sa pagpalambo sa mga serbisyo,” Ardosa said as what their oath says.

As evaluation begins, Ardosa also reminded all departments of their mini-city hall structure within the department for faster evaluation.

“Tungod kay most of our appointments are only up to September, ug inyong matan-aw, a team is now starting its evaluation,” said Ardosa.

Ardosa said department heads are now part of the evaluation process of employees under them.

The city government is further trimming down the number of casual employees in an effort to have “right-sizing.”

“The department heads will now be involved in doing the assessment towards our goal of right-sizing. Naay mga initial discussion with the team that is created for that purpose,” said Ardosa.

Currently, they are now crafting a system along with the Human Resources and Development Department to speed up the process.

Ardosa said, their target is to get things done in the middle of September and submit the results of the evaluation to the Mayor right away. — GMR (FREEMAN)
