Earlier, another 54 beneficiaries from Sitio Cahipa in Barangay Hipodromo and members of the Nagkahiusang Lumulopyo sa Cahipa ug Bakante (NALCABA) Homeowners Association received their COLAs.

The granting of COLA is another stage to get a land title.

This means that residents of city-owned lots who are given the COLA can now buy the lot from the city.

The event was attended by Karlon Rama representing Councilor Raymond Alvin Garcia, the chairman of the committee on housing of the City Council.

Also present was Mayor Michael Rama’s representative, Atty. Dominic Diño, the secretary to the Mayor.

Recipients of COLA were advised to follow the guidelines especially in using their areas to avoid disputes with their neighbors.

The aim of the program would be to reduce the informal settlers in the city and provide the homeowners the benefits and assurance to own land. — GMR (FREEMAN)
