CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu provincial government’s revenue for the past 10 months has reached P4.3 billion, according to the latest data from the Provincial Treasurer's Office.
The Capitol is now 78.18 percent of its P5.5 billion revenue target this year.
Included in the revenue collection of the Capitol is the P3.4 billion share from the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA).
Aside from the IRA, the Capitol also sourced its revenue from local taxes collection.
For the tax revenues which include the amusement tax, franchise tax, professional tax, property transfer tax, real property tax, tax on delivery trucks and vans, tax on sand and gravel and other quarry products and other local taxes, the Capitol has collected P331.4 million from January to October this year. This is 111.87 percent higher compared to the P156 million in the same period last year.
As to the non-tax receipts which consist of regulatory fees, business and service income and other income receipts, the Capitol was able to collect P117. 9 million, 81.58 percent higher from P64.9 million collections in 2020.
For the Cebu South Bus Terminal, one of the income generating facilities of Cebu Province, the Capitol has reached P52.9 million collection. The terminal is 80.25 percent from its P66 million target this year.
While for the district hospitals, the Capitol was able to collect P120 million for 10 months, a decrease of 58.66 percent from the P291 million collections for ten months last year. — GMR (FREEMAN)
