2-month salary, P30 thousand bonus for Toledo City workers
CEBU, Philippines — Employees of Toledo City Hall will be expecting big bonuses this Christmas.
Mayor Marjorie “Joie” Perales has announced Monday that the Toledo City government will be giving bonuses to its employees worth two months of their salaries aside from the P30,000 Christmas bonus.
Perales said she and the top officials of the city saw the “dedication” and “hard work” of their employees, the reason they decided to give huge bonus this holiday season.
“Nakita namo ni Vice Mayor Jay Sigue og sa tanan sakop sa konseho ang ka kugihan og dedikado sa matag-usa nga mga regular employees sa ilang trabaho sa pipila ka tuig nga nagserbisyo sa katawhan sa dakbayan sa Toledo,” said Perales during the inauguration of the newly-renovated Toledo Public Plaza.
This means, that if a regular employee has a P20,000 monthly salary, he/she will receive P40,000 plus P30,000 for a total of P70,000 Christmas bonus. This is on top of the 13th month pay that the employees have already received last Friday.
The job order (JO) personnel in the city will also receive P5,000 gratuity bonus, according to the Toledo City Public Information Office.
“Dili lang ang mga regular employees ang nagkugi sa ilang trabaho, apil sab ang mga JO employees nga angay pud makadawat ug gratuity bonus sa tanang ka maayo og kakugihan sa pagserbisyo,” Perales quoted as saying by its PIO.
John Roseller Layan, the information officer of Toledo City, said the city treasurer already directed the liaison officers to process the needed documentary requirements so that the Christmas bonuses will be given before Christmas.
