CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Transportation Office (CTTO) has noted an increase of almost 1,500 drivers who were issued traffic citation tickets (TCT) for violating the traffic rules in the city last month.
CCTO issued 11,073 TCTs last month, which was higher compared to that of September with 9,612 issued TCTs.
According to the transportation office, among those apprehended were unregistered vehicles and drivers with no license.
The CCTO continues to urge the public to complete the paperwork in advance before using their vehicles so as not to be caught on the road and be declared a violator.
“Bisan paman sa sige natong pahimangno nga dapat kompletohon nato ang atong mga papeles sa dili pa e byahi sa kadalanan ang mga sakyanan pero atong nabantayan nga daghan lang gihapon ang wala nituman niini,” the CCTO posted on its official Facebook page.
“Among ipahinumdom sa mga nadakpan sa pagdala sa inyong mga Citation ticket sa among buhatan para dili kamo mapasakaan og kaso nga mas hasol na hinuon,” it added.
The CCTO office is open every Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the CCTO is also reminding the organizers of various activities to be held on the roads to secure special permit.
The office received reports of upcoming activities that have no application for special permits yet.
The CCTO said that it would be better for organizers to just follow the process for the welfare of everyone. — KQD (FREEMAN)
