The PBB aims to schedule all first doses by August 31, and following recommended vaccine dose intervals, complete all second doses by September 30 as vaccine supply is received and allocated through the Visayas Vaccine Operations Center (VVOC).

CEBU, Philippines —  The Project Balik Buhay has registered 315,000 employees and members from 3,723 companies and organizations for vaccination in Metro Cebu as of July 31, 2021, the last day of its registration.

The PBB aims to schedule all first doses by August 31, and following recommended vaccine dose intervals, complete all second doses by September 30 as vaccine supply is received and allocated through the Visayas Vaccine Operations Center (VVOC).

The PBB in their Facebook post announced that all company and organization applications received are subject to the approval of the Department of Health and the respective local government unit before scheduling for vaccination.

The PBB Vaccination Centers will only accommodate pre-registered and pre-scheduled vaccinees.

“Registration numbers are unique per individual based on the submitted masterlists and are non-transferrable. Strictly no walk-ins allowed,” it said.

Meanwhile, the PBB as it continues with its efforts to save lives and restore livelihoods will open a new vaccination center today, this time in Yuenthai Philippines, Inc. - MEPZ 1 in partnership with LH Foundation, Inc.

This is the PBB’s 16th vaccination site and its third in Lapu-Lapu City.

With the opening of this vaccination site, PBB said it will further increase its capacity for the vaccination of the companies and organizations in MEPZ and Lapu-Lapu City that submitted their applications on or before July 31, 2021.

As of August 13, 2021, a total of 1,074,684 vaccine doses have been administered across all public and private sector vaccination centers in Cebu.

The PBB Vaccination Centers are managed and operated by private sector groups and volunteers, with all costs incurred being shouldered by private donors and benefactors, at no cost to the government nor to the vaccinees.

The PBB is intended to help in the vaccination of companies and organizations including micro establishment and other community associations.

The PPB vaccination initiative is part of the national government vaccination program for the employed and corporate sector in Cebu.

PBB is a public-private partnership upon the request of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, IATF-Visayas and DOH-7 to help augment the capacity of the government vaccination centers. — GMR (FREEMAN)
