Barangay road clearing conducted in Minglanilla

CEBU, Philippines —  The Minglanilla Traffic Commission (MITCOM) and the Municipal Task Force conducted a road-clearing operation in Barangay Tungkop on Saturday.

Prior to the road-clearing, barangay officials and MITCOM officials held a meeting last August 4 to notify the constituents under the barangay about the operation.

The road and sidewalk clearing is in compliance with the Memorandum Circular 2020-020 issued by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

According to Langlang Waskin’s Facebook post, traffic education officer of MITCOM, during the road-clearing, they gave a chance to the owners and decided not to destroy their structures.

MITCOM officers will assign officers to conduct a frequent roving in the barangay to make sure that the sidewalks are clean. — Ericailah Gerasmio, CNU Intern, GMR (FREEMAN)
