Bogo City: P50 million accounts remain unsettled
The Commission on Audit had issued notices of suspensions amounting to P14, 612, 651.75 and P35, 623, 492.81 disallowances.

CEBU, Philippines —  The City of Bogo has a total of over P50 million of unsettled audit suspensions and disallowances as of December 31, 2020.

The Commission on Audit had issued notices of suspensions amounting to P14, 612, 651.75 and P35, 623, 492.81 disallowances.

However, the notices are all subject of a pending appeal before the COA-7 regional office, said city accounting officer-in-charge, lawyer Jose Neil Lumongsod.

“Most of these disallowances were issued in 2015, which up to now is still pending before COA, there being no finality of a decision issued by them yet,”Lumongsod told The Freeman.

In essence, he said these are not considered disallowances yet there being no finality issued by COA. — Jomelou Q. Menorias, CNU Comm Intern, GMR (FREEMAN)
