CEBU, Philippines — In support of the government’s COVID-19 inoculation program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has issued a vaccination policy for all of its employees.
The DSWD has more than 35,000 personnel nationwide.
The policy provides an implementing mechanism for the profiling of DSWD employees who are eligible to receive vaccines and for the conduct of immunization in accredited and certified vaccination sites of the Department of Health (DOH).
DSWD said the deployment of vaccines will be done in phases depending on the delivery and availability of vaccines and logistical requirements
Also, the execution of the vaccination program will be in accordance with the National Vaccination Plan.
DSWD employees belong to the A4 priority group.
As of July 1, a total of 810 DSWD Central Office personnel already received vaccines against COVID-19.
DSWD said it will continue disseminating up-to-date information about the Philippine National Deployment and Vaccination Plan through its Social Marketing Service to assist employees in making educated decisions regarding their vaccination. — Jean Aldemer Seroje Salgados, Silliman University Intern/KQD (FREEMAN)
