Public warned of traffic amid Minglanilla road repairs
The municipal government, in a Facebook post Friday, said only one lane on both sides of the road is passable.

CEBU, Philippines — Motorists and commuters are advised to prepare for traffic gridlocks as a portion of N. Bacalso Avenue in the southern town of Minglanilla is undergoing repairs.

The municipal government, in a Facebook post Friday, said only one lane on both sides of the road is passable.

“Tagsa ra gayud ka lane ang maagian booth sides sa atoang karsada,” the advisory read.

It said the two-day road repairs near a mall will be finished tonight.

The government and the Minglanilla Traffic Commission (MITCOM) have urged motorists and commuters to leave home early as not to get stuck in traffic congestion.

“Atoang gi-awhag ang atoang mga motorista nga mosayo-sayo lang padung sa atoang mga tagsa-tagsa ka trabahoan aron dili kita ma apiktohan sa trapik,” the advisory added.

The local government also asked the public for understanding.

“Amoang gihangyo ang tanan mga atoa lang taas-taasan ang atoang pasensiya kay makamugna gayud kini og pag huot sa trapiko tungod kay tagsa raman ka lane ang maagian,” it added.

Meanwhile, 91 MITCOM personnel are undergoing a training on traffic rules, as well as on their responsibilities are traffic enforcers.

Also, 20 members of the town task force have joined the training. They help MITCOM enforcers in implementing traffic rules. — KQD (FREEMAN)
